The Buffalo Sabres, along with the Vancouver Canucks, assembled NHL in station 1970-71. The first owners of the SABRE were Seymour and Northrup Knox, scions of a family wishes prominent in western New York. The name of the equipment was chosen using a competition of the ventilator.
